If your looking for a great spot for a picnic or just want to take in some beautiful scenery then this is a place to visit. Located out at Port Chalmers on Church Street is a hidden garden that has restored an old quarry into an attraction to be celebrated.

In honour of the Late Lady Thorn, a former Mayoress of the town The Port Chalmers and District Lions Club has been involved since 1998 in developing and maintaining the garden. It is filled with numerous rhododendrons, along with magnolias, prunus, maples and spring flowering bulbs.

Take a walk around the maintained garden, have a seat in one of the various garden seats and best of all head up to the lookout to take in the amazing panorama view of Port!
