Top 5 Playgrounds

by Insiders Dunedin

As a kid or family member some of the most memorable moments in life can be those spent at our local playgrounds. With this in mind, we wanted to determine what parks around the city were seen to be the best! So, we asked the Dunedin community what their favourite playgrounds around the city were. The response was great and there were a few clear stand outs. This formed the basis for our 'Top 5 Playgrounds'.

A clear winner emerged with almost double the amount of recommendations than any other park. Taking the top spot was the 'Dinosaur Park', located near St Kilda beach. The park is famous for its iconic whale and Dinosaur slide. It is ideally situated next to a great beach and the kids can also take their bikes or other wheeled devices to practice on their dedicated road safety course and ramps. A definite visit is required if you have not experienced this place for yourself, or the kids.

The Mosgiel playground took out second place followed by St Clair, the Woodhaugh Gardens and Bayfield.
