Japanese Handmade Shoes by Master Takano Keitaro

Internationally renowned shoemaker Takano Keitaro of 'Clematis Ginza' Japan, will present a selection of handcrafted luxury shoes during a private viewing in the Great Hall at Olveston Historic Home. Mr Keitaro makes custom and bespoke footwear and ready to wear collections. In Japan, he is regarded as a Master craftsman. 

Mr Keitaro will be in attendance. Speakers include Dress Historian Dr Jane Malthus, Archeologist Sheryl McPherson, and shoemaker Louise Clifton. This is an Associated Event of iD Dunedin Fashion Week.

An exhibition of Mr Keitaro's handcrafted shoes will take place in the Drying Room at Olveston. The exhibition will include a selection of handmade shoes, photographs, and shoemaking ephemera.

Tuesday, 15 March - Saturday, 19 March 10am - 3pm daily. 

Admission Free.
