Monty Bevins & Nikita Tu-Bryant ‘Travelling Storytellers’ Tour
Fresh from a festival performance at Tora Tora Tora! 2016, Monty & Nikita will perform 4 collaborative shows across Dunedin, Tekapo, Little River and Christchurch this June 30 - July 3. Whether it’s through acoustic or electric guitar, woven vocals, the violin or harmonica, prepare for an intimate evening of travelled stories and songs from two of New Zealand’s very own.
Monty Bevins is a genuine kiwi troubadour whose been living on the road since April 2014 performing his effortless blend of folk/roots/soul to communities throughout NZ. Since his support of Melbourne singer/songwriter James Kenyon’s epic 20 date nationwide in April, Monty’s been tucked away writing in a Dunedin seaside shack, so expect an airing of some brand new material.
Nikita Tu-Bryant is a Wellington based artist involved in a range of projects as a musician, actor, writer and visual artist that have seen her recently travel as far as Japan, New York and Los Angeles. Nikita learnt to play the violin at the age of 5, before growing an affinity with the guitar and songwriting by 12. Whether fleshed out by electro-funk three piece FLITE, Myele Manzanza duo, or cinema folk ensemble Nikita & The Spooky, the bare bones of it all starts with Nikita solo, stripped back as a travelling storyteller.
