Organic Vegan Food at Naturalley Organic Café
Located halfway along an unnamed alleyway opposite the Rialto Cinema in Moray Place in central Dunedin, Naturalley has quickly attracted a fan base of local vegetarians and vegans. And being just off Princes St very close to the tourist hub of the Octagon, it’s easy for visitors to find.
At Naturalley they pride themselves on preparing a range of organic vegan food which customers can rely on for authenticity and quality. The menu changes regularly but the Health Burger with beetroot, greens, sprouts, roast potato and homemade sauce, and the Polenta Stack with roast kumara/sweet potato, green salad and tomato salsa are evergreen favourites. Another popular choice is the pizza which is on a kumara base and topped with cashew cheese, tempeh, onions, roast kumara and chimichurri sauce. Sweet treats including gluten free options are also popular.
They’re open for breakfast serving Paleo Muesli with fruit and coconut yoghurt, and wholemeal toast and spreads. Drinks include cold pressed fruit juices, fruit smoothies, and organic free trade Mexican coffee which is available with cow’s, soy, oat or almond milk. Hot chocolate is a specialty, made with free trade light or dark chocolate.
Customers are welcome to linger at Naturalley and enjoy the spacious environment with its underground music and funky atmosphere, recycled wooden pallet seats, some great street art through the window, and free ultrafast broadband. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for news and happenings in the Dunedin’s natural food and vegan community.
