Glenfalloch restaurant has new amazing chefs
Since August 2016, the previously rather boring Chalet restaurant at Glenfalloch gardens on the Otago Peninsula has been revolutionised by amazing new chefs from Germany. It now offers a first class dining experience at an amazing price ($45 for three courses) affordable by locals and only 15 minutes drive from Dunedin CBD. The food is superb - Hannes uses local and seasonal ingredients in really original and beautifully presented dishes. Every course is a delight! try the "Trust the Chef" option - where, noting any dietary restrictions, the chefs will prepare you three or five courses for $45 or $59 respectively. We regularly choose the three course menu for an evening dinner (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) and it is always excellent - very interesting and inspiring use of Dunedin produce. We love that the Bay now has such a quality restaurant and encourage locals to support it. Our insiders' tip is that on Thursday evenings you can BYO wine for no corkage charge! The service is good too - professional and friendly - and the setting, in one of NZ's loveliest gardens, is perfect.
