The Gasworks Museum is one of only three in the world. It’s also home to the world’s only working Donkin Booster which is a must see for any fan of industrial machinery but the museum is only open on the first and third Sunday of each month and every Tuesday from 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm.

Only on Friday mornings can you sample the mouth-watering line up of French pastries baked to perfection by Jim Byars at his Highgate Bridge shop. It’s not suprising they’re so good because Jim worked alongside Albert Roux in London’s legendary Michelin starred Le Gavroche restaurant.

At Albar you can order a hot water bottle to go with your whisky. So you can sit outside whatever the weather is doing and enjoy people watching in Lower Stuart Street.
